Since its introduction just a couple of years ago, the Browning® Maxus® has quickly become one of the most popular semi-automatic shotguns in the market. The Maxus is known for its reliability and shooter/hunter friendly features. In 2011 Browning is adding two new models for the clay target shooter, the Maxus Sporting and the Maxus Sporting Carbon Fiber.

The Maxus Sporting is a beautiful shotgun with a strong, lightweight aluminum alloy receiver with a durable satin nickel finish. The receiver is laser engraved with game birds transforming into clay birds. It features a quail on the right side and a mallard on the left. The stock and forearm are high grade walnut with a gloss finish.

The Maxus Sporting Carbon Fiber shotgun also features the strong, lightweight aluminum receiver but with a carbon fiber finish on the top and bottom. The stock and forearm are made of composite material, have the Dura-Touch® Armor Coating and the carbon fiber finish.

Both of the Maxus Sporting shotguns come with either a 28 or 30-inch barrel and chambered for 3-inch shells. The barrels include the Vector Pro™ lengthened forcing cone. Five Invector-Plus™ choke tubes are included with each gun. Like other models of the Maxus, the two sporting models feature the Power Drive Gas System which cycles a wide range of loads. An Inflex Technology recoil pad helps reduce felt recoil. Each gun includes a HiViz® Tri-Comp fiber-optic front sight and Ivory mid-bead sight.

Suggested retail for the Maxus Sporting is $1,629.99.

Suggested retail for the Maxus Sporting Carbon Fiber is $1,419.99.
