CHESTER, VA- The new ZEISS Victory DiaScope 85mm Spotting Scope and Victory 10×25 Compact Binocular both beat out the competition in their categories to win this year’s Outdoor Life Editor’s Choice award. The newly redesigned DiaScope won the top prize in the Spotting Scope category and the editors praised its “optically superior glass in a surprisingly lightweight chassis” among other outstanding features. The ZEISS DiaScope won the low-light test, had a top resolution score and “the two-speed focus and wide-angle eyepiece sparkled”, according to the test team. The new Diascope is available in 65mm and 85mm models, straight or angled bodies and features a sleek rubber-armored exterior for improved feel and protection. Eyepieces are available as Variable 15-45x / 20-60x, 15-56x / 20-75x or fixed 30/40x.
So outstanding is the ZEISS Victory 10×25 Compact Binocular that it beat out the competition to win the top prize in the Mid-Size Binocular category. “Weighing a scant 8.6 ounces and folding elegantly into a tidy package scarcely bigger than a deck of cards, this marvelous binocular turned in remarkable resolution and low-light scores.” The Victory Compact Binoculars also feature Carl Zeiss’ award-winning LotuTec coating which repels water so efficiently that raindrops literally roll right off the glass. LotuTec also allows dirt, grease and grime to be wiped away with ease.
The awards were presented at the National Rifle Association’s 2010 Annual Meeting and Exhibit in Charlotte, NC on May 14.
