GREELEY, Colo. (April 4 , 2012) – Designed for use on long-range, tactical and sniper rifles in a combat environment, the new Steiner Military 5-25x-56mm extends the shooting range and provides outstanding visibility even in the lowest light conditions, thanks to its high magnification, large objective and unmatched optical elements. The Military 5-25x-56mm is part of the Steiner Military/Tactical riflescope line that was introduced last year. The riflescopes were designed by Steiner with input from Special Forces and international weapons experts, and they include the 1-4x-24mm, 3-12x-50mm, 3-12x-56mm and 4-16x-50mm scopes.
“Steiner’s reputation for its military-grade optics is known around world, and the new Military 5x-25x riflescope incorporates all the technology and expertise that we have developed over 65 years,” stated Rob Siemers, general manager. “It is the ultimate long-range sniper scope and one that we are proud to put our name on.”
The Military 5-25x-56mm riflescope features a rugged 34mm one-piece extruded aluminum main tube and world-class Steiner optical elements, featuring broadband Anti-Reflective coated optics for maximum light transmission. The G2B Mil-Dot reticle is illuminated and glass-etched, and it is ideally located on the front focal plane, so subtension remains unchanged over the magnification range for quick and easy target identification, ranging and accuracy. The scope can also be equipped with the popular MSR reticle.
The digital illumination offers 11 intensity levels (seven night / four day) and a battery-saver position between each level with two OFF-positions at each end. The digital illumination and parallax adjustment are combined in a left-side turret for comfort and ease of use, with or without gloves on.
The windage and elevation on the Military 5-25x-56mm scope are designed for precise adjustment. The windage knob, located on the right side of the tube, is calibrated for up to 5 mils of adjustment for both left and right adjustment. For shooting at extreme distances, the elevation knob on the Military 5-25x 56 riflescope offers up to 19.5 mils of adjustment over the course of two turret revolutions.
Fully waterproof to 10 meters and shock proof to 900 G’s, the Steiner Military 5-25x-56mm riflescope is also nitrogen filled to be internally fogproof. This new long-range military riflescope will retail for $3095.99.

GREELEY, Colo. (February 8, 2012) – Steiner, the world leader in lens technology and optical design, celebrates another milestone in its 65-year history by introducing its new line of Predator Xtreme Riflescopes. This new riflescope line represents the finest Steiner German optics, technology and engineering combined with the affordability of being constructed in the United States.
“Steiner is pleased to be back in the hunting riflescope business again,” said Rob Siemers, general manager. “The new Predator riflescope line offers hunters the best European optics with superior coatings in a rugged, American-made housing, all at an affordable price.
“With the proprietary Steiner CAT coatings used on these scopes, hunters are certain to see the advantage of the new Predator scopes,” he concluded.
Available in three models, 2.5x-10x-42mm, 3x-12x-56mm and 4x-16x-50mm, the new Predator Xtreme line offers precision-ground lenses with Steiner’s unique CAT (Color Adjusted Transmission) technology. This specially engineered lens coating delivers the highest levels of contrast and light transmission, resulting in bold color contrast between prey and surroundings.
The Predator Xtreme riflescopes will also feature the new Steiner Plex S1 Ballistic etched reticle. The Steiner Plex S1 provides a simple, uncluttered method for determining both trajectory and wind compensation. The reticle presents a series of cascading .25 MOA dots that help calculate drift to compensate for crosswinds. The dots represent bullet drift from a 10 mph crosswind (+/-1.5 inches at 400 yards) for a wide variety of hunting cartridges. For a 5 mph crosswind, halve the distance between dot and reticle. Likewise, for 20 mph crosswind, simply double the distance. The reticle is located on the second focal plane, meaning that the user can utilize the zoom without affecting the measurements.
These new riflescopes are waterproof, shockproof and fogproof. They feature rugged 30 mm tubes with ¼-MOA adjustments for both windage and elevation. Ergonomically designed, large turret knobs and a power ring with deep knurling make removal and adjustments almost effortless. Additionally, The Predator Xtreme’s interchange dials can be reset to “0″ once the scope is sighted-in.
With all the features and engineering of a high-end European riflescope, the Steiner Predator Xtreme 2.5x-10x-42mm, 3x-12x-56mm and 4x-16x-50mm are moderately priced at $799.99, $899.99 and $999.99, respectively. They will be available at retailers nationwide in the spring of 2012.
