The trigger is adjustable for weight of pull down to 2.5 pounds.

Other accuracy-enhancing features include a 24-inch, #2 contour cold hammer-forged 4140 steel barrel with field crown. In addition, Weatherby’s famous Monte Carlo stock design allows quick eye-to-scope alignment and fast target acquisition. A low density recoil pad helps control recoil and makes for more comfortable shooting.

Based on the legendary Mark V® action, the Vanguard has a one-piece machined bolt, fully enclosed bolt sleeve and three rings of steel surrounding the casehead for an extra measure of strength and structural integrity.

Measuring 44.5 inches in overall length, the Vanguard Deluxe weighs approximately 7.75 pounds. It is available in .257 Weatherby Magnum, .270 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 Weatherby Magnum and .30-06 Springfield. Right-hand models only.

Weatherby® Offers Mark V® Accumark, TRR Rifles in .338 Lapua Magnum

Weatherby® has chambered its Mark V® Accumark rifle and Threat Response™ Rifle (TRR) for the increasingly popular .338 Lapua Magnum long-range cartridge.

Originally designed as an ultra-long-range sniper cartridge for military use, the .338 Lapua Magnum has become a more common choice for big game hunters as well.

“Our Mark V Accumark and TRR rifles are designed for situations that require pinpoint accuracy at extended ranges, so the .338 Lapua Magnum chambering is a natural,” said Brad Ruddell, Weatherby’s vice president of sales and marketing.

The Mark V Accumark features a hand-laminated, raised-comb Monte Carlo composite stock with a matte gel coat finish and spiderweb accents. Also working to enhance accuracy is a button-rifled, #3 contour (.705 muzzle diameter) free-floated stainless steel fluted barrel with target crown. The 28-inch overall barrel length includes an Accubrake™ to reduce felt recoil.

Other features for precision shooting are a CNC-machined 6061 T-6 aluminum bedding plate and a factory-tuned, fully adjustable trigger. A Pachmayr® Decelerator® pad on the buttstock helps soften recoil.

Weatherby’s Mark V TRR rifle has a black composite stock with the CNC-machined 6061 T-6 aluminum bedding system. The three-position buttstock is adjustable for length of pull, drop at heel and cant of the pad, allowing a “custom-fit” to shooter size and shape for greater comfort, control and accuracy.

Also equipped with an Accubrake, the barrel measures 28 inches in overall length. Accuracy is further enhanced by the hand-tuned, fully adjustable trigger, which is factory set at three pounds with sear engagement factory set at .008 to .014.

Manufacturer’s suggested retail prices are $2,270 for the .338 Lapua Magnum Mark V Accumark and $2,879 for the .338 Lapua Magnum Mark V TRR. Right-hand models only.

Game Face Airsoft Introduces Two Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols And Assault Rifle

ROCHESTER, New York – Game Face™ Airsoft, a division of Crosman® Corporation, worldwide supplier and manufacturer of products for the shooting sports, has expanded their offerings by adding three new products. The new GF460 is a full-scale AEG combat assault rifle. The new Game Face Airsoft pistols, the Elite Combat and the Mayhem™, are CO2 powered blowbacks providing realism for skirmishes and training.

According to Game Face Airsoft Product Manager, Jim Masseth, “The new Game Face Airsoft professional-grade products provide realism during training and close-quarter-combat scenarios. We’re seeing a lot of interest from the military and law enforcement communities who wish to use them for their force-on-force education and training,” he said.

The GF460 features a full-length, quad-rail interface system (RIS) that provides multiple options for accessories such as optics, flashlights or handles. “The polymer frame is strong enough to take the abuse of any skirmish, but lightweight so there’s no worry of fatigue,” said Masseth. The full metal gearbox and high torque motor provide a high rate of fire and velocities up to 330 feet per second (fps) using .20g BBs.

The Elite Combat pistol is as sturdy as the standard U.S. service pistol it resembles. Its full metal slide and frame, generous weight and comfortable grip provide a feeling of authority. This pistol is the ideal sidearm with its realistic recoil action and full-metal magazine. The high capacity magazine features integral CO2 valving and drops out at the push of a button. Simply push in a new magazine, for quick reload of ammo and fresh CO2 that provides delay-free combat action. Featuring an ambidextrous safety and a quick-detach slide for efficient maintenance, the Elite Combat reaches up to 330 fps with .12g BBs. Every time the gun is fired the slide blows back automatically and cocks the working hammer.

The Mayhem pistol offers convincing feel, hold and recoil action with its polymer frame, metal slide and fully functioning blowback operation. Realistic weight adds to the drama of this sidearm. For use in CQC and training exercises, the Mayhem reaches up to 1 joule of energy. It is equipped with a quick- detach slide for convenient maintenance and its easy-to-release full-metal magazine makes for delay-free loading of CO2 and BBs.

The GF460 rifle will be available in May, 2011 with an MSRP of $325. The blowback pistols are both available now. MSRP for the Elite Combat is $176 and is $100 for the Mayhem. Game Face Airsoft will exhibit its entire product line during SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas from January 18-21. Visit booth number 12740.

Crosman Airsoft Introduces Dual Power Assault Rifle And Three Spring Pistols

ROCHESTER, New York- Crosman® Corporation, a leading producer of innovative products for the shooting sports, has added a new dual power assault rifle, the Pulse® DP4, and three new spring pistols, the Stinger P311, P30T and P50 to its growing line of Crosman Airsoft branded products.

Crosman Airsoft’s new Pulse DP4 assault rifle offers the versatility of a spring-powered, single shot mechanism or battery powered semi/full automatic mode. According to Jim Masseth, product manager, “The advantage of dual power is the ability to pre-cock the gun, providing a swift trigger response while the electric mode allows rapid fire for a continuous stream of BBs. The single shot option doesn’t use batteries, so it’s a great back-up to have in your arsenal when you’re low on power,” he said.

“The new rifle and pistols are ideal for your close quarter combat scenarios. Their resemblance to standard military issue weapons make them a popular choice for objective-based airsoft skirmishing,” Masseth comments.

“The Pulse DP4 sports a tactical look and feel, with its quad-rail forend and multi-position stock,” said Masseth. It shoots 600 rounds per minute at velocities up to 275 feet per second (fps) while the adjustable hop-up system allows for precise aiming accuracy.

“A brand new style for Crosman is the Stinger P311,” said Masseth. It is modeled after the popular sidearm used by the United States Military from the early 20th century to the 1980′s. The Stinger P311 features an easy load magazine, velocities up to 275 fps and an effort free cocking mechanism.

The Stinger P30T is a new version of the popular Stinger P30, featuring 25 percent higher velocities than the previous version. It also sports a smoother cocking mechanism.

According to Masseth, “The Stinger P50 is a new, large frame airsoft pistol.” It is an air cocking spring gun with velocities up to 250 fps and a 15-round magazine. “Featuring a lengthened barrel and a flash hider, this Stinger has an ominous look in the field,” he said.

Crosman Airsoft will exhibit its entire product line during SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas from January 18-21 in booth number 12740.

Crosman Introduces Modular Adaptive Rifle (MAR) Competition PCP Rifle

ROCHESTER, New York- Crosman® Corporation, long known for innovation and quality in products for the shooting sports, has introduced a new pre-charged pneumatic (PCP), modular, adaptive, competition sporting air rifle (MSR), the MAR177™.

According to Crosman Product Manager, Terry Neumaster, “The Crosman MAR177 PCP Rifle is designed to support match air rifle competitors, using the traditional service rifle of National Match series competitions. To better serve the requirements of elite competitors, we’ve partnered with two-time, National NRA High Power Rifle Champion, Dennis DeMille of Creedmoor Sports Inc.,” he said.

DeMille believes that this purpose-built rifle represents the future of adult competitive air rifle shooting. “The new MAR177 promises to perform at the highest levels of match air rifle competition, while replicating the look and feel of an actual AR-15 style rifle. National Match competitors have been waiting for this gun. Since Crosman’s design team has a history of innovative and successful competition airguns, who better to bring this design to fruition,” said DeMille.

The Crosman MAR177 consists of an upper receiver and requires the shooter to provide their own lower AR to complete the gun. “This allows the competitor the versatility to utilize their own high-power AR lower with a competition-grade trigger group,” said DeMille.

Utilizing a PCP power plant affords an advantage over competitors, with less recoil and eliminating the need to repeatedly pump. “This air rifle features a multi-shot, removable, 8-shot rotary clip and an internally rifled Lothar Walther™ barrel,” according to Neumaster. “With a fill pressure of up to 3000 psi and velocities of up to 600 feet per second (fps), the rifle boasts 10-shot groups at 10 meters of less than 9 millimeters,” he said. The MAR177 is capable of 120 shots per fill and meets requirements for National Match Air Rifle competitions.

DeMille commented, “Serious competitors seek dependable, precision rifles. To these demands, the new MAR177 adds real affordability, compared to any equivalent model out there.”

Olympic level gunsmith and airgun expert Scott Pilkington comments, “I’m pleased to see that Crosman has recognized the inventiveness of my upper design, and brought it to the next level in production and development. This advancement will revolutionize the way folks everywhere use their AR-15s. I expect that serious competitors and plinkers alike will use this upper more than any other in their vault,” he said.

The Crosman MAR177 air rifle will be introduced with an MSRP of $900 and will be exhibited, along with Crosman’s entire PCP product line, at SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas, in booth number 12740. The trade show runs from January 18-21.

Crosman Introduces The Benjamin Rogue .357 Big Bore ePCP Air Rifle

ROCHESTER, New York,- Crosman® Corporation, long known for innovation and quality in the shooting sports industry, has introduced a ground-breaking new, electronic, precharged pneumatic (ePCP™) air rifle created for hunters.

According to professional hunter Jim Shockey, “The .357 caliber Benjamin® Rogue™ air rifle offers more knock-down power than any .22 cal rimfire.” The Rogue .357 is a multi-shot repeater equipped with an innovative, micro-processor controlled valve that extends the firing distance and provides “accuracy and lethality out to 100 yards,” says Shockey.

Ken D’Arcy, Crosman President and CEO, said that the pioneering technologies in this air rifle will “combine to change the course and perception of airgun hunting in the same way Samuel Colt changed shooting with the first repeater. Encroaching development and increasing predator encounters have helped with the acceptance of using big bore airguns for urban animal control as well as hunting,” he said. “This venture into big bore hunting airguns is a natural progression for us as we continue to focus our product development on the hunting category.”

The new Benjamin Rogue .357 ePCP hunting air rifle is “different than traditional compressed air PCP or CO2 airguns because of its innovative, patent-pending eVALVE™,” said D’Arcy. “The electronically driven power furnished by the eVALVE promises dramatic changes to the way we are used to hunting with airguns. No other airgun provides as many as 20 shots per fill and shoots at a consistent rate of 150 foot pounds of energy, and certainly not at this price range,” he said.

“The Benjamin Rogue’s flexibility adds further distinction,” said D’Arcy. “By adjusting the electronically controlled settings, the Rogue .357 is capable of short and long distance shooting, making it appropriate for both small and larger game hunting,” he said. “The Rogue’s velocity ranges from 700 to 1000 feet per second with knock-down power from 100 foot pounds of energy (fpe) to an astounding 250 fpe. The limitations of traditional close range airgun hunting are all but eliminated with the Rogue. You can now hunt with an airgun that ethically harvests game at considerably longer ranges,” stated D’Arcy.

Equipped with a single air reservoir, the Rogue fills to 3000 psi. “Thanks to the patent pending eVALVE, the remaining pressure is monitored in the reservoir and maintains constant velocity,” said Terry Neumaster, Crosman product manager. “It solves the problem other big bore PCP guns have of decreasing shot count and reduced knockdown power as the psi decreases. Unlike our more expensive competition, the Benjamin Rogue .357 continues to deliver powerful shots even with pressure as low as 1000 psi. This feature makes for remarkably efficient use of the remaining air in the reservoir, resulting in an increased shot count,” he said.

All the information a hunter needs for a day in the field is available on the Rogue’s built-in EPiC™, LCD screen. “Accurately displaying the remaining pressure in the air chamber helps hunters determine how many shots are left before the gun needs to be re-filled,” says Neumaster.

The EPiC screen reports other variables controlled by the micro-processor, including the controls for the e-VALVE. “By controlling the open time of the valve via the EPiC controls, you have the option of adjusting your shot velocity. In addition, by making adjustments to the settings for the grain weight of your ammunition, you literally ‘dial in’ your preferred power,” according to Neumaster. A heavier load means more knock-down power and, although a heavier load reduces the quantity of shots per fill, it produces heavier impact on larger game. “The most exceptional aspect of the Rogue .357 is its variability. No other airgun lets you choose what kind of game you want to hunt, in one package with only a few easy adjustments,” he said.

“There is enough power in this air rifle to take a boar-sized animal and, while I like airgun hunting for the challenge of close range pursuit, having one gun that offers both short and long range options is a hunter’s dream,” says Shockey. “The Rogue brings airgun hunting beyond pest control and into trophy hunting territory.”

Benjamin has introduced three new .357 bullets designed for the Rogue rifle. The Benjamin eXTREME™ Bullet by Nosler® features Nosler’s famous Ballistic Tip® technology. Weighing in at 145 grains, it is a versatile bullet with “superb hunting accuracy and deep penetration,” according to President, Bob Nosler. There are also two new .357 Benjamin Pursuit™ bullets for use with the Rogue rifle, the Pursuit Hollow Point at 90 grains and the Pursuit Round Nose at 175 grains. Both are softer than traditional lead bullets and form effectively to the barrel of the rifle, due to their stepped band design.

The Rogue rifle’s innovatively designed stock is shaped for hunters. The magazine holds an impressive six shots. It has a 2-stage, electronic, adjustable trigger with dual electronic switches that significantly reduces lock time. The air rifle is outfitted with sling studs and a fill adaptor.
