Leupold® Introduces 4-24x52mm Model into VX®-6 Line

BEAVERTON, OR. – Leupold® has expanded its premier VX®-6 line with the introduction of the 4-24x52mm side focus riflescope.

Combining Leupold’s legendary durability and crystal-clear optics with the VX-6′s powerful 6:1 zoom ratio, the 4-24x52mm models offer shooters the versatility of 4x to 24x magnification in one riflescope. Compared to standard riflescopes, the VX-6 provides a wider field of view at the lowest power setting, giving hunters a better look at close, fast-moving game. At the highest power setting, the scope pulls distant targets in tighter for more precise shot placement.

“With the 6:1 zoom ratio of the VX-6 erector assembly, we’re able to deliver far more range and utility than ever before,” said Pat Mundy, communications manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “There is simply no distance from 100 to over 1,000 yards that the VX-6 4-24 can’t handle.”

Two illuminated reticle options are available: the Boone and Crockett® Big Game reticle or the Varmint Hunter. They feature Finger Adjustable, Pop-up resettable, 1/4 MOA per click adjustments and an integrated push button illumination and side focus parallax dial. Both are compatible with Leupold’s Custom Dial System® (CDS®). With CDS, hunters can get on target at any range, with any load, by matching their scope to the ballistics of their ammunition and sight-in conditions. Each scope comes with one free CDS dial.

The non-illuminated model offers the all new TMOA® reticle, which features tic marks in 1 MOA increments on the vertical and horizontal crosshairs allowing for range estimation and accurate wind drift and bullet drop compensation in the familiar minute-of-angle measurements. Also new are the VX-6 Target Adjustments with resettable zero and an elevation zero stop.

All VX-6 4-24x52mm riflescopes feature side focus parallax adjustment and a 34mm matte black maintube. Leupold’s Quantum Optical Systemtm combines lead-free, precision-ground and edge blackened lenses with Leupold’s Xtended Twilight® lens coatings for the highest level of light transmission and clarity. Carefully positioned in optimum relationship to each other, the lenses deliver up to 98 percent total light transmission. Exterior lens surfaces are coated with DiamondCoat 2® for unsurpassed resistance to scratching and abrasion.

In addition, VX-6 has a generous eyebox and long eye relief, making it quick and easy for hunters to get their eye behind the riflescope and attain a full, clear sight picture. Compared to competitive riflescopes, the VX-6′s eyebox is up to 137 percent larger at the high power ranges, and up to 67 percent larger at the low power ranges.

Other key features:
• Leupold’s most durable Twin Bias Spring Erector System™ provides the utmost in mechanical reliability. It is built with up to 30 percent more holding force than competitive riflescopes to withstand the most intense recoil and abuse.
• Second generation Argon/Krypton waterproofing and fog proofing for enhanced thermal shock resistance.

Sporting Leupold’s familiar Golden Ring®, each VX-6 is backed by the company’s Full Lifetime Guarantee. For more information, visit a local dealer, go to www.leupold.com or call 1-800-LEUPOLD. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LeupoldOptics.

In addition, the editors at Binoculars.com have bestowed the Binocular of the Year title on the new BX®-4 McKinley™ HD™ binoculars.

The BX-4 mates new extra-low dispersion objective lenses with rare earth element-coated ocular lenses to provide superb color rendition, exceptional low-light visibility and superb color rendition.

Available in 8x or 10x magnification, the BX-4 features 42mm objective lenses; multi-staged, variable height eyecups; and a responsive, fast-focus central focus dial.

A strong, lightweight magnesium alloy chassis delivers unsurpassed durability and rugged utility in the field. Leupold’s second-generation water and fog proofing ensures crystal-clear vision in any weather condition.

Finally, the readers of Predator Xtreme magazine have selected Leupold as the Riflescope manufacturer of the year in its first Readers Choice Awards. Leupold also received bronze medals in the binocular and rangefinder categories.
