Russ Kommer Signature Series Knives from Browning

 

Morgan, Utah- What started as a quest to find a better hunting knife has lead veteran big game hunting guide, Russ Kommer, to become one of the best knife builders in the industry. For 2013 Browning is proud to announce the Russ Kommer Signature Series knives.

The Russ Kommer Signature Series is made up of five field-tested and proven knives. Included in the line are four fixed-blade knives and one folding blade model. The fixed blades knives include a 4″ Bird and Trout Blade, 3 7/8″ Drop Point Knife, A Gut Hook Knife with a 4 ¼” blade and a 7 ½” Filet Knife. The Folding Knife includes a 3 ¾” blade. The blades are hollow ground AUS-8 stainless steel and satin finished. The Filet knife features 420 stainless steel. All models are laser engraved with Russ Kommer’s signature.

Fixed blade knives feature a well-designed injection molded polymer rubber handle and include a black nylon sheath. The folding knife has alloy scales with textured inserts and comes with a belt clip.

Obession Series Knives. Obsession folding lockback knives have been carefully designed to give hunters the perfect tool for dressing and skinning duties.  The main blade is a drop-point design and twin-blade models include the best guthook blade ever.  Not only does the guthook efficiently open body cavities without disturbing the rumen, the back of the blade helps provide secure grip.  Handles are stainless steel with G-10 or wood inserts.  Blades are Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel with 3 ¼” main blade lengths.  A nylon sheath is included with two blade models and pocket clip comes with single blade models.  Suggested Retail, single blade, $29.95, two-blade, Suggested Retail, $39.95.

The handle is made of attractive brown linen Micarta® for a durable, attractive appearance. A top-grain leather sheath is supplied with outside pocket that holds a sharpening stone. New Folding Camp Saws. Browning’s new Camp Saws are designed by knife designer Russ Kommer and are unmatched in comfort in handling and features. The handle on the Browning Camp Saws is grooved and has a large tail radius to ensure a rock solid grip and comfort in hand. Handles are injection molded composite with rubber inlay. The high-carbon stainless steel push/pull blade maximizes cutting efficiency on both wood and when dressing game. Blades are made of 4116 stainless steel in 5 ¾” lengths. Browning Introduces Model 11 Folding Knives

Browning Introduces Model 11 Folding KnivesMorgan, UT-Browning’s new Model 111 Folding Knives are designed by Russ Kommer and packed with practical features. Kommer took an old design and added his expertise in knife design to make them even more user friendly.

The knives are designed with grooved handles that are constructed from either rugged G-10 or walnut. Handles on the knives are contoured for a comfortable, sure grip. The bolsters add to the beauty and balance of the knives.

Each 3 ¼” blade is made of Sandvik® 12C27 stainless steel. The blades are easy to sharpen and hold an excellent edge. A Browning Buckmark logo is etched into each blade for a unique look only to a Browning knife.

The ultra-thin construction of the Browning 111 knives allow them to slide easily into a pocket without adding excess bulk.

The Model 111D with black G-10 scales has a suggested retail price of $34.95. The Model 111C with walnut scales has a suggested retail price of $39.95.
