Benelli Introduces Lightning-Fast Vinci With Speed-Bolt

ACCOKEEK, MD (January 14, 2013) – The Benelli designers have taken the tried and true features of that rugged, bird- and target-busting Vinci and incorporated them into a new version called the Vinci “Speed-Bolt.” Combining these features provide the Vinci Speed-Bolt® with all the attributes that tactical shooters seek-superior balance, lightweight, reduced recoil and minimal muzzle climb. This is what Benelli calls Practical Speed Performance™ or “PSP™,” which is the real performance timeline of “speed,” and includes quickness of mount, immediate target acquisition, fast fire, instant recovery and rapid, reliable follow-up shots.

At the heart of the Vinci Speed-Bolt® is the In-Line Inertia Driven® System, utilizing Benelli’s new Speed-Bolt® – a bolt inset with tungsten, designed for faster cycling and handling loads as light as one ounce-and that means less recoil and muzzle climb. Experienced tactical competition shooters appreciate and value less recoil and muzzle climb in terms of getting on target quicker after the first shot. The next shot can be taken quickly and efficiently, which is critical for scoring winning times.

Another innovation is the QuadraFit™ buttstock, which is the closest thing to a custom-fitted stock straight from the factory available in the market. It allows easy adjustment of drop, cast, comb height, and length of pull. It also incorporates ComforTech® Plus, which effectively cushions recoil for quicker shooting. The Vinci Speed-Bolt utilizes a vent rib, favored by competition shooters and hunters alike. The Vinci Speed-Bolt® also features a corrugated V-Grip™ surface for a positive grip on the gun. The Vinci Speed-Bolt®’s barrel and choke tubes have been cryogenically frozen to a temperature of -300 degrees Fahrenheit. This Crio® system treatment relieves the stresses caused when the barrels are hammer forged and smoothes the bore to a more even-grained slicker surface. As a result, the bore surface offers less resistance to the shot column for more even patterns, which puts more pellets on target and a quicker limit in your bag. Like the original Vinci, the superbly balanced Vinci Speed-Bolt® embodies all the features that make this semi-auto the most reliable, softest kicking, fastest shooting, lightweight tactical shotgun in the world.

“The tungsten inset featured in the Speed-Bolt® of this new Vinci gives a definite advantage to the competitive shooter,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP of Marketing. “With the ability to recovery quicker and hit multiple targets faster, shaving even a fraction of a second can give the winning edge that every competitor desires.”

Benelli Offers a New Montefeltro with a Synthetic Stock

ACCOKEEK, MD (January 14, 2013) – When the Montefeltro was first introduced, it smashed the notion that an autoloader had to be clunky or clubby feeling. The Montefeltro was designed with graceful lines, style and fluidity. Up until now those graceful lines have always featured a beautifully figured walnut stock. Now that same grace and style is offered with a slim, synthetic stock that is impervious to the weather and takes rugged handling as easily as it digests a steady diet of three-inch magnum loads.

Because of the lack of linkages and gas cylinders, Benelli’s ultra-reliable Inertia Driven® system allows for a fore-end that’s as slim as any over & under’s. Benelli’s intertia system also features a rotating bolt head that allows for a steel-to-steel lockup with a barrel extension for vault-like security and lightening-quick functioning. Combine all that with a lightweight anodized aluminum receiver and the weight balances where it should-right between the hands. This is an autoloading shotgun that’s equally at home in the field as it is on target ranges.

“Long before I worked for Benelli, the first semi-auto shotgun that I bought was a Montefeltro, one of my favorite guns to this day,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP of Marketing. “Now that it’s available with a synthetic stock, I may just have to buy another Montefeltro.”

Benelli Offers Compact Versions of M2 Field in 12- & 20-Gauge

ACCOKEEK, MD – Benelli‘s venerable “workhorse,” the rugged and reliable M2 Field is now offered in a Compact model available in both 12 and 20-gauges, specifically designed for small-statured and young shooters. The M2 Compact features a short stock complete with ComforTech® and a gel butt pad ergonomically designed to fit the shoulder. The M2 Compact also comes with a set of shims for adjusting the buttstock’s drop and cast. Benelli’s M2 Compact 12-gauge comes in a 26-inch barrel and the 20-gauge model comes with a 24-inch barrel.

Compact guns, when properly designed integrate form and function in order to provide the perfect gun for small-statured and young shooters. These scaled-down guns are important because they play a key role in establishing how a smaller-framed shooter or beginner safely and effectively handles guns. In many cases, compact guns provide the first hands-on shooting experience for a learning shooter, and as such, that experience will influence their future participation in the shooting sports. The main feature of a compact gun, and which, determines its proper fit for a shooter is a shorter buttstock. This is what provides the shorter length-of-pull (LOP), enabling small shooters to enjoy and participate in all types of shooting sports, from hunting to clay target games. When the time is appropriate, a full-size buttstock can be fitted to the M2 Compact.

“Typically a youth’s gun is considered to have just a short stock in a sub-gauge, but the M2 Compact available in both 20 and 12-gauge will serve small statured shooters in every type of shooting or hunting endeavor,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP of Marketing. “Our customers asked and we responded with a gun that will serve beginner shooters as well as those that just need a gun to fit better.”

Benelli’s new Super Vinci is the evolution of the revolution

ACCOKEEK, MD – Benelli’s revolutionary Vinci just got “supersized.” The brand new and much anticipated Super Vinci is designed to handle 3½-inch Magnum loads. At the heart of the Super Vinci is the In-Line Inertia Driven® system, which has been designed to reliably chamber light 2¾-inch loads up through the most powerful 3½-inch Magnums.

The Super Vinci features Practical Speed Performance™ (PSP). This is the practical “speed” shooters seek which becomes a matter of how fast you can shoulder the gun . . . acquire the target . . . shoot . . . and recover from the recoil to prepare for the next shot.

Precise instruments developed by Benelli measure and create graphs that illustrate the total recoil of the Super Vinci against its competitors. Other guns have peak recoil that’s as much as 15 percent greater than the Super Vinci’s. But more significantly, the total felt-recoil of the competitors’ guns is as much as 22 percent more. Combine the In-Line Inertia Driven® action with superior balance, light weight, reduced recoil and minimal muzzle climb and the shooter experiences the real timeline of performance speed where the Super Vinci has no equal.

Like the original Vinci, the superbly balanced Super Vinci embodies all the features that make this latest Benelli semi-auto the most reliable, softest kicking, fastest shooting, lightweight 3½-inch Magnum shotgun in the world. Its unique modular design makes it the easiest shotgun in the world to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, maintenance, storage and transportation.

“We’re very pleased to add the Vinci’s revolutionary design concept to the Super Vinci,” said Stephen McKelvain, VP Benelli USA Marketing & Communications. “This logical next step has been anticipated from the moment the original Vinci was first introduced. The Super Black Eagle was the world’s original 3½-inch Magnum, and the Super Vinci is now the ultimate 3½-inch Magnum.”
