ROCHESTER, New York- Crosman Corporation, long known for innovative, high quality products for the shooting sports, has introduced the new, TR77™ NPS break barrel air rifle powered by Nitro Piston® technology. The TR77 NPS is a super quiet, high powered .177 caliber air rifle featuring a CenterPoint® 4x32mm precision scope and an ambidextrous, all-weather, synthetic stock.
According to Crosman Product Manager, John Alvord, “The Crosman TR77 NPS features ultra-quiet Nitro Piston technology, providing a quiet shot, smooth cocking, less recoil and quicker locking time.” Weighing in at less than 8 pounds, this powerful break barrel boasts 18 foot pounds of energy (fpe) “more than enough for your pest control needs or a fun day of precision target shooting,” said Alvord.
The TR77 NPS has a rifled steel barrel for greater accuracy, an adjustable, two-stage trigger and dovetail mounting rail. The all-weather stock is comfortable, lightweight and, behind the recoil pad, is a convenient storage area for ammo. The newly designed muzzle break offers a comfortable grip for cocking, while the TR77 NPS pistol grip and textured forend provide stability when using the artillery hold. “With velocities of up to 1,200 fps, this super quiet air rifle really sizzles,” Alvord says.
The TR77 NPS has an MSRP of $200, and will be available at retail in summer, 2013. Crosman Corporation will exhibit the TR77 NPS air rifle with its entire product line at the SHOT Show 2013 in Las Vegas from January 15-18. ROCHESTER, New York- Crosman® Corporation, long known for innovation and quality in products for the shooting sports, has introduced two new Crosman Nitro Venom™ break barrel air rifles powered by quiet and effective Nitro Piston technology.
According to Crosman product manager, Sara Calcagno, “Airguns with the nitrogen piston power plant produce 70% less noise than spring powered airguns. They also feature a smoother and more consistent cocking effort so that with one simple cocking motion, your follow-up shots are fast, quiet and easy.” Another advantage to hunters is that “with the Nitro Venom’s gas piston, you won’t lose velocity if the gun stays cocked for an extended period,” said Calcagno.
Nitro Venom air rifles feature a new beavertail stock, “designed to promote the Artillery Hold shooting position,” she said. “The wider surface area of the forearm is intended to rest on the palm of your hand, and assist with achieving improved accuracy and a balanced, consistent shot. With velocities up to 1200 feet per second and muzzle energy ranging from 18 to 21 foot pounds of energy, the new Nitro Venom break barrels deliver serious hunting power,” said Calcagno.
The new break barrels feature precision, rifled barrels with fluted muzzle brakes and sculpted rubber recoil pads. They are equipped with a 3-9x32mm CenterPoint precision scope and quick-lock optic mounting system. Available in hardwood or synthetic stock, both versions offer an ambidextrous, raised cheek piece. The hardwood version features checkering on both the grip and forearm, while the Dusk, all-weather, synthetic version has sculpted grooves on the grip and forearm. The Nitro Venom air rifles will be introduced at SHOT Show 2011, in Las Vegas and will retail for $229.
Crosman will exhibit its entire product line during SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas from January 18-21. Visit booth number 12740.
