The latest addition to the growing family of high-quality MINOX sport optics is their new BN Nautic Line, developed specifically to meet the needs of serious water sports enthusiasts.
There is a choice of two core Nautic products. The flagship of the line is the BN 7×50 DC, with many innovative features, including a fully integrated digital compass, housed in a distinctive maritime-design body. With its multi-coated lens system, ample 7-power magnification and a 50mm objective lens, the binocular has a high twilight factor of 19 for sharp-image visibility, even in dim light conditions.
Special features and advantages of the Nautic DC include a digital compass that has an LED display in the center of the field of view, with precision, automated tilt function. It also has a digital barometric reading function, with air pressure reading; altimeter; thermometer; and a clock and stop watch. Twist-up eyecups and individual eyepiece adjustment are other benefits. It’s ready for rough duty with a robust rubber armoring housing and nitrogen filling, and is waterproof to 16 feet. Available with a white or black body. Retail price, $699.
The MINOX BN 7×50 C Nautic has the same basic binocular qualities, in a distinctive black-and-white body with rubber eyecups. This cost-effective model has an analog compass, without the added features of the Nautic DC. Retail price, $299.
