Chris Nelson, Ono’s marketing chief, said the new “plano” sunglasses would be priced the same as Ono’s bifocal models, from under $90 to less than $130. Ono’s also sells three titanium models, available only with bifocals, for $149.00. In addition, Ono’s recently announced corrective-lens sunglasses that can be ordered directly from the company with a doctor’s prescription for only $169.99 and $189.99, saving customers as much as $400 compared to prescription-sunglasses sold by optometrists.

For the holidays all models ordered online through December 30 earn free shipping plus a 10-percent discount.

New models without bifocals are Grand Gosier™, Curlew™, Breton™, Carabelle™, Harbor Docks™, Oak Harbor™, and Vieux Carre™ models and three styles for smaller faces or faces with smaller features — Grand Lagoon™, Tuscadero™ and Ocracoke™.

All lens color options — grey, amber, blue-mirror/grey and green-mirror/amber – feature 100-percent UVA-UVB polarization. As with bifocal models Ono’s new no-bifocal styles feature ophthalmic-quality CR-39 lenses noted for their lightness, optical clarity, and resistance to scratching and chemicals.

Like the bifocal models, the new plano models feature memory-flex TR-90 frames styled for men and women with small, medium or large facial features and different nose-bridge shapes.
