LaserLyte® returns to basics with the patented RTB-XD rear sight laser that fits the Springfield XD/XDM firearms. The high performance laser built into a rear sight specifically designed for Springfield XD/XDM pistols features a simple, ambidextrous “press and go” activation. The laser is easily programmable to either constant on or pulse mode. Another great feature is the “auto-off” feature that displays a unique flash after 5-minutes of operation and automatically turns the unit off after 6-minutes.
Made from heavy-duty, high carbon steel for added durability, the LaserLyte RTB-XD rear sight laser has a black chrome finish for corrosion prevention. A great benefit of the LaserLyte RTB-XD rear sight laser is that the customer will not have to replace grips, internal stock parts or holsters. GREEN GUN LASERS ARE MUCH BRIGHTER

As many know, laser sights can be very beneficial; but there is one major flaw… ordinary red lasers can be next to impossible to see in most daylight conditions. The benefit of a green laser is that it is much more visible, allowing for it to be used anytime, day or night, indoors or outdoors, permitting you to track your target quicker and more accurately. Additionally, because green lasers are so much more visible to the human eye, you can actually see a very intimidating visible beam in low-light conditions.

Why Green Lasers are More Visible

Green is closer to the center of the visible spectrum, at 532 Nanometers, so it’s easier for our eyes to perceive the color vs. a red laser at 635 Nanometers. In fact, a green laser can appear as much as 50 times brighter than the red equivalent and as can be seen from the below charts 532 nm is the ideal wavelength to maximize visibility during day or night.

Crimson Trace Rail Master Universal Laser Sight

Crimson Trace has released the Rail Master, a universal rail-mounted laser for pistols or rifles. The key word that makes the Rail Master awesome? Universal.

The little (and I do mean little, it weighs practically nothing) laser can be easily mounted on pretty much any rail, making it perfect for those who can’t get Laser Grips for their pistol or those who don’t want the bulk of the grips or the weight of a Laser Guard. For me? I think it would be awesome on a rifle rail.

The one down side of opting for something like the Rail Master over regular Crimson Trace Laser Grips is that the Rail Master is activated by a switch rather than the instinctive activation most of Crimson Trace’s products utilize. The switch is easy enough to use and fully ambidextrous; there’s a paddle on either side of the Rail Master that is pressed to turn the laser on, but it’s one more thing to think about in a high-stress situation. On the other hand, something Caleb pointed out, there are no light “NDs”, although in my mind if I’m drawing my gun I’m going to be shouting and trying to do anything I can to illuminate the area and a little bit of laser really isn’t going to hurt me any. I guess it depends on how tactical you are.

The Rail Master has over four hours of battery life, comes sighted from the factory at 50′ and weighs next to nothing. It fits a pistol, rifle or shotgun with a M1913 Picatinny or Weaver accessory rail. That means 1911s with rails, most 3rd Gen Glocks, 4th Gen Glock 17s and 19s, HK P30s, M&Ps, Sig P220, P226, P229, the Ruger SR series, Springfield XDs and XDMs and pretty much any other rail-equipped pistol.

Light, easy to use and can be mounted on just about anything. I need a minimum of 4.

LaserLyte® Introduces One Side Mount Laser that Fits All Taurus Revolvers and all S&W J-Frames; the LaserLyte® CK-SWAT

The side mounted laser fits on all of the Smith & Wesson J-frame revolvers ever made and all Taurus revolvers. And now, the Taurus Judges including the Public Defender finally has a laser system to call its own with the CK-SWAT laser.

The new LaserLyte® CK-SWAT laser mounts easily underneath the grip and is the only laser system available that allows the customer to retain the factory grip and comfortably and easily holster the firearm. The CK-SWAT is also compatible with many aftermarket grips including Hogue® and Pachmayr®.

To install the LaserLyte® CK-SWAT, simply choose one of the four included base plates that fit the revolver, remove the grip and screw the unit into place. In the previous press release issued March 5th, it was stated the CK-MS was made from aluminum. LaserLyte® CK-MS lasers are made from a durable, glass-filled nylon making the laser lighter and absolutely corrosion proof. The batteries now used in the CK-MS are two A76 batteries, again, less batteries also keeps the unit lighter.
