Simmons Offers Value and Performance with its New Trail Camera Line

Overland Park, Kan.Simmons, a leader in high-quality, high-value sports optics for more than 25 years, has added three new trail cameras to its 2012 product line. Hunters can now monitor game activity around the clock, thanks to the new Simmons low-glow LED night vision technology.

Featuring a one-second trigger speed, full-color images up to 7 MP, and a high-quality 640×480 video mode, the Simmons trail cameras capture the quality and detail hunters demand. The multi image mode allows users to select from capturing one to three images per trigger, and the video mode is programmable to record five- to 60-second video clips.

Using low-glow LED flash technology, the cameras are virtually invisible to game. Add to that Simmons motion-activated, passive infrared (PIR) sensor, and hunters can monitor game out to 25, 40 or 45 feet (see chart below).

Thanks to an SD card capacity of 32GB, all three cameras can capture and store thousands of images. Powered by four AA batteries, the Simmons cameras offer an impressive six-month battery life for long-lasting, uninterrupted performance in the field. Leading the industry with a one-year battery life and superior image clarity, Bushnell has enhanced its 2012 product line with a host of new features including high definition (HD) video, 0.6 second trigger speed, improved Field Scan 2x time lapse technology and hyper night vision. fast.

Featuring 8 MP image resolution and HD video standard on every unit, the Trophy Cam HD is packed with features to help hunters more effectively monitor game activity around the clock. The new Field Scan 2x technology allows users to program two windows of time lapse capture, improving a hunter’s ability to monitor game activity at dawn and dusk. Field Scan technology captures images at preset intervals ranging from one minute to 60 minutes, while simultaneously capturing live trigger images.

Bushnell has improved its night vision technology to deliver enhanced image brightness and better quality images of game captured at up to 60 feet away. In addition to brighter night vision, the Trophy Cam HD features an auto passive infrared (PIR) sensor that automatically adjusts sensitivity levels based on the ambient temperature. Users also have the option to pre-program the PIR sensor by selecting a low, medium or high sensitivity setting.

The Trophy Cam HD also features multi flash mode with three programmable flash settings: low, medium or high. With multi flash mode, users can select the ideal flash setting based on the location of the camera and the typical distance of recorded game, which in some instances can help eliminate image washout and conserve battery life.

To simplify the tracking of game movement, users have the ability to input the GPS coordinates of the camera and auto-embed a geotag on each image or video captured. In addition, the info stamp has been upgraded to include date, time, temperature, Moon phase and a user-selected name.

Thanks to a one-year battery life, incredibly fast trigger speed and a massive 32 GB SD card capacity that can store more than 20,000 images, the Trophy Cam HD is one of the most effective scouting tools on the market. Images and video captured on the camera can be recorded in either a widescreen 16:9 or full screen 4:3 format.
