Stack-On® Products Expands Quick Access Safe Line

Wauconda, IL – Last Fall, Stack-On Products introduced three new Quick Access Safes and will be expanding this offering by adding two more safes to this product offering. These safes provide security for pistols, ammo and other valuables – all have been tested by an independent lab to withstand attack per California Department of Justice Standards.

Three of the safes feature electronic touch pads, allowing the user to program their own 3-8 digit combination, while two models utilizes a biometric (fingerprint) lock. Safes open automatically when the correct code is used or with a backup key, that is included with each safe.

Last Fall, Stack-On began shipping the QAS-1200-B (Biometric) and QAS-1200 safes which include a removable shelf, foam padded interior and fastening hardware to bolt the safe to a shelf or the floor. Dimensions: 10″ w x 12-1/4″ d x 8-1/4″ h.

The two new safes being introduced in 2012 are smaller versions of the QAS-1200 series but they do not include a removable self – they are the same size right to left and front to back but the height of the safe has been reduced to fit into smaller spaces. The new safes are the QAS-450-B (Biometric Lock) and the QAS-450 with an electronic touch pad lock. Dimensions: 10″ w x 12-1/4″ d x 5-5/8″ h.

Also introduced last Fall, the QAS-1000 safe is a breakthrough in the market place with a spring loaded drawer. The drawer pops open when the correct code is entered; drawer operates on a ball bearing slide. This safe is great for securing valuables or firearms under the bed or the seat of a vehicle. The QAS-1000 can be mounted to the floor or shelf; in addition, a 1500 lb test security cable is also included to secure the unit in a vehicle or other location. Dimensions: 10″ w x 12-1/4″ d x 4-4/8″ h.

Trijicon Adds 4×32 Battery ACOG Model to Proven Lineup

Wixom, MI- The undisputed leader in battlefield optics adds another model to its proven ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) line with the introduction of its 4×32 Battery ACOG.

The new 4×32 Battery ACOG provides operators six dialable levels of reticle intensity when conditions demand them. Thanks to Trijicon’s engineering advancements in optical efficiency, the 4×32 Battery ACOG provides over 12,000 hours of red, non-forward emitting illumination from one AA battery.

“Some might wonder, why put a battery in an ACOG? Shooters the world over love their Trijicon ACOG but if there is an improvement that can be made, most would agree that the ability to adjust the reticle illumination would be a great upgrade. This is the main reason for developing the battery ACOG,” says Tom Munson, Trijicon Director of Sales & Marketing.

Forged aluminum, mil-spec construction produces a waterproof/fog-proof unit that’s second to none in durability. Premium, fully multi-coated optics and parallax-free, 4-times magnification combined with precise, 1/2-inch click adjustments assure shot-after-shot accuracy even in adverse conditions.

Leica Introduces Completely Updated Trinovid 8×42 and 10×42 Binoculars

A Leica classic is back and it’s better than ever. Leica is excited to introduce its updated Trinovid premium entry level binoculars at the 2012 SHOT Show. The first Trinovids were known for their innovative prism design and unparalleled optical performance. The latest models, available in 8×42 BR and 10×42 BR, feature a rugged design making them the ideal binos for hunters everywhere.

According to Terry Moore, Leica Sport Optics vp sales & marketing, “In everything we do at Leica, our objective is to be best in class. We developed the new Trinovids to be fully-featured and to maintain Leica’s high standard for exceptional engineering while providing superior value and performance as the new Best in Class of premium entry-level binoculars.”

Thanks to magnesium housing, the Trinovids are extremely lightweight, yet they’re durable enough to handle rugged conditions and unpredictable weather thanks to the rubber armouring. Choose the 8x magnification for relaxed observation or the 10x magnification for high detail performance. The 42 mm objective lens delivers optimal light for viewing, even in less than optimal conditions. Both model Trinovids provide great contrast/neutral color correction thanks to high quality premium optics.

Features include a stainless-steel center hinge and large eye cups with 4 stops. Even though the Trinovids are affordable, the premium manufacturing and optical quality for which all Leica sport optics are renowned is obvious. For example, you won’t find any plastic parts on the watertight Trinovid, and the Roof prism system features P40 phase correction coating and the HLS™ HighLux system for fascinating viewing impressions.

The New Trinovids offer classic Leica style, superb optics and great field durability at a surprisingly affordable price, making them a must-have for the avid hunter.

Trijicon Unveils New SRS Reflex Sight

Wixom, MI – The profile length of the new Trijicon SRS™ is short and the advanced list of features is long, as the innovative products continue from Trijicon. The new Trijicon SRS (Sealed Reflex Sight) is a reflex-type sight with a unique optical design, housed in a body length of only 3.75 inches that virtually eliminates the “tube-effect” common with other, competitive red dot sights. The result – a field of view that essentially provides no obstruction to shooters. That means lightning fast target engagements at CQB distances with no distraction from the shooter’s situational awareness. The SRS is ideal for military, law enforcement and recreational applications on a variety of firearm platforms from AR’s to shotguns.

Equally impressive is the technology built into powering the LED lighted 1.75 MOA aiming point that includes ten brightness settings – including three NVG settings. The SRS is powered by a solar panel and a single, common AA battery. This uniquely patented configuration allows the user years of illumination life from a single battery by offering an intuitive “solar assist”, that is, drawing on battery power only when the solar cell requires additional energy support for illumination based on ambient conditions.

The Trijicon SRS™ is built to endure the rigors of extreme in-the-field use and carries the same stringent testing requirements as the renowned Trijicon ACOG® line of sighting systems. Additional features include a parallax-free objective lens, an auto-locking, self-adjusting level mount and waterproof-tested performance to fifty meters.

The new Trijicon SRS™ will be available at retail in February 2012.

New Eliminator III Offers Extreme Accuracy For Extreme Long-Range Shooting

GREELEY, Colo. (January 17, 2012) - Burris, the unequivocal expert in ballistic laser scopes with automated trajectory compensation, introduces the new Eliminator III. This next-generation laser scope provides expert shooters with a level of sophistication only imaginable before now.

The Eliminator III features a sleek, new design that is similar to traditional riflescopes yet still incorporates state of the art electronics. Other improvements include new ergonomic activation buttons and parallax adjustment from 50 yards to infinity.

Rob Siemers, Burris Company general manager, said, “With the new Eliminator III, we have defined the next generation of modern riflescopes that incorporate technology and electronics with optical design. As the leader in this category, we are excited about the potential these new products will offer to hunters and long-range shooters.”

The current Eliminator’s split-second, automatic trajectory compensation technology has provided shooters with the invaluable ability to place ethical shots on target within seconds, which dramatically extends a shooter’s confidence and ability in the field. Now, the new Eliminator III with its X96 reticle technology provides even more accuracy, more range and a method of windage compensation. All of these elements have been perfected and are available at the push of a button at any magnification.

To achieve even greater accuracy at ranges from 750 to 1,200 yards, the Eliminator III features enhanced the ballistic programming. With the Eliminator III, the shooter enters not only the amount of drop at 750 yards for bullet and load he is shooting, but the ballistic coefficient (BC) for the chosen bullet, as well. The scope can be programmed for more than 1,500 commercially available loads.

An essential element in the Eliminator III is the new X96 reticle, which provides a convenient and accurate method to compensate for wind. Wind compensation is NOT fully automated within the scope; the digital readout displays a 10 MPH Wind Value for the shooter’s specific cartridge at the ranged as a “Dot Value.” The X96 reticle features several dots on each side of the vertical post. These Dots serve as references to the shooter to precisely hold into the wind. The shooter still needs to estimate the cross-wind value himself and also needs to convert the 10MPH Wind Value displayed to the appropriate value for the estimated actual MPH cross-wind value. The shooter then holds into the wind the appropriate “Dot Value” as shown below in the illustration below.

The Eliminator III will retail for $1,499 and will be available at retailers in July.
