SWAROVSKI OPTIK Presents the New EL 50mm Swarovision

Cranston, Rhode Island – SWAROVSKI OPTIK announces the new EL 50mm binoculars with SWAROVISION technology specially developed for greater viewing comfort, especially for eyeglass wearers. Using a field flattener lens, which helps to create a true image, it is possible to produce diamond-bright image resolution right up to the very edge of the field of view ensuring the finest detail without any edge distortion.

In the 50mm category, these very compact binoculars contain HD lenses to minimize color fringing (chromatic aberration) and guarantee razor-sharp images with the highest possible resolution. The EL 50mm SWAROVISON provides viewing comfort through the entire wide-angle field of view with amazing edge to edge sharpness. The sturdy, removable twist-in eyecups have been designed with four intermediate stage settings making it easier to adapt the individual distance between the ocular lens and eye. The new focusing wheel made from hard and soft components is non-slip, sturdy, easily and accurately operated. It is possible to change the setting from the close focus to infinity very quickly with only two complete turns. This unrivalled close range is particularly beneficial for the macro observation world.

SWAROVSKI OPTIK NORTH AMERICA CEO, Albert Wannenmacher, said of the market launch, “These new 50mm EL Swarovisions are amazing as far as their performance, but moreover the compact size within the 50 mm category sets a new standard for larger binoculars.”

The time-tested and elegant EL design with wrap-around grip has also been optimized. Thanks to their rubber armouring, the binoculars are easy to handle even when cold and the ergonomic thumb rests ensure a perfectly balanced observation. The practical accessories are yet another plus in terms of functionality. All new EL 50′s are supplied with a water-repellent bag, an easily adjustable Lift carrying strap, protective caps for eyepieces and objectives, plus the Snap Shot adapter, the latter is used to quickly connect a digital compact camera to the binocular for remarkable photographs taken at long distance.

Carl Zeiss Introduces the Dialyt 18-45×65 Compact Field Spotter

CHESTER, Va., January 18, 2011 – Originally designed for European Alpine hunters, the new ZEISS Dialyt 18-45×65 Field Spotter is lightweight, compact and built for rough use in the field making it an attractive option for western hunters here in the U.S. and those hunting in mountainous areas anywhere. This straight, rubber armored scope with built-in variable eyepiece features premium optics and is fully waterproof and dustproof, unlike draw-tube scopes, and instantly ready for use. Simply position, focus and view within a split second.

The Dialyt 18-45×65′s variable eyepiece provides a wide field of view at low magnification and the richness of every detail at long distances using higher magnification. This compact spotter also features multilayer coatings, a large lens diameter and high transmission that allows for easy observation at lower magnifications in low light conditions such as early morning or at dusk.

The large magnification range makes it the perfect scope for mountain hunting or for observation in vast, open areas. And it is simple to use: change magnification by turning the eyepiece and focus by turning the objective. The Dialyt 18-45×65 fits easily into a backpack and, if necessary, can be rested on a pack or rock, or leaned against a tree for further stabilization at higher magnification. This spotter also has threads for a tripod mount if hunters prefer a stable platform for lengthier periods of observation.

The Dialyt’s light metal body and rubber armored exterior make it noise absorbent, rugged, reliable and easy to handle, even in extremely low temperatures. It comes with a wide, comfortable carrying strap that attaches to the caps of the objective lens and eyepiece for easy transport and optimal protection.

ROCHESTER, New York – CenterPoint® Hunting and Outdoors, a division of Crosman® Corporation, a leading supplier of products for the shooting sports, has introduced a new Multi-TAC™ Quick Aim Sight with multiple reticle options that mounts on Weaver® style rails.

“The new Multi-TAC Quick Aim Sight offers four different reticle options in one sight, making it versatile enough for all your hunting needs,” said Sara Calcagno, CenterPoint Precision Optics product manager. “Choose the single dot, Quick Acquisition reticle for short distance shooting, such as varmint hunting. The Crossbow is a 3-dot reticle and is helpful with range estimation. The Ground Blind option reveals a German-type reticle, useful during low light and in situations where there are tangled backgrounds and shadows. Finally, use the Tactical reticle for close in aiming-speed,” says Calcagno.

The Multi-TAC Quick Aim Sight has a compact 30mm, sealed nitrogen filled tube for maximum light transmission, wider windage and elevation adjustment. It features red and green illumination options that offer convenience for all light conditions and can be fixed to various brightness settings. The Multi-TAC Quick Aim Sight is precision machined from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and has an all-weather, angled objective, with a built-in rain guard and sun shield. CenterPoint Precision Optics Game Tag Ballistic Riflescopes

ROCHESTER, New York – CenterPoint® Hunting and Outdoors, a division of Crosman® Corporation, a leading supplier of products for the shooting sports, has introduced a series of long-range riflescopes featuring the Trajectory Aiming Guide (TAG™) ballistics reticle. Designed for serious hunters, the Game TAG series scopes promise to help shooters shoot accurately and take more game with high-end performance at modest prices.

According to CenterPoint Precision Optics Product Manager, Sara Calcagno, “The CenterPoint design engineering team analyzed trajectory data from more than 20 of the most commonly used bullet/load combinations to develop and calibrate the new Game TAG ballistics reticle.” The Game TAG scopes provide fast, simple aiming points at various shot distances. “Using the chart provided with the scope or on our website, www.centerpointhunting.com, simply choose the caliber and weight you’re using and the reticle will tell you which aiming points coordinate with which distances,” she said. “The need for holdover estimation and lengthy calculation is eliminated. The reticle also includes windage points at your longer distances for accurate shooting in all weather conditions,” she continued.

On the Game TAG scopes, not only are the yardages displayed directly on the reticle, but the aiming points for those distances are illuminated, offering even quicker and more accurate target acquisition.

The new Game TAG series of riflescopes have fully, multi-coated lenses, etched glass reticles and rugged, one-piece, 1 inch tubes made from aircraft grade aluminum alloy. The reticles incorporate a red/green, dual illumination system with various brightness settings. For dependable performance in the most extreme weather conditions, the scopes feature a built-in, all-weather, angled sunshade and are waterproof, shockproof and fog proof.

Two TAG reticle choices are currently available. The muzzleloader/shotgun and standard rifle caliber reticle is available in a 3-12x44mm riflescope. The standard rifle caliber and magnum load reticles are available in both 4.5-14x44mm and 6-20x50mm riflescopes. The reticles are factory calibrated to provide spot-on aiming points from 100 yds to 600 yds for the most popular loads. MSRP ranges from $179.99 to $249.99.

CenterPoint Precision Optics Introduces New Laser Boresighter

ROCHESTER, New York- CenterPoint® Hunting and Outdoors, a division of Crosman® Corporation, a leading supplier of products for the shooting sports has introduced a new, patent-pending Laser Boresighter.

Sara Calcagno, CenterPoint Hunting and Outdoor’s precision optics product manager says the new CenterPoint Laser Boresighter will save shooters time and money. “While most shooters use more than one box of ammo to sight in their scopes and open sights, it’s not required with the Laser Boresighter. The laser is sent out from inside the barrel and aims in exactly the same trajectory that the ammunition exits the barrel. This allows the shooter to precisely sight-in without having to use as much ammo,” said Calcagno.

The battery-powered CenterPoint Laser Boresighter works on handguns, rifles and shotguns, and has fittings for all calibers from a .17 all the way up to a .50 caliber, as well as 12, 16 and 20 gauge shotguns. According to Calcagno, “Shooters can sight in their scopes or open sights on many types of guns within a couple inches of zero with one CenterPoint Laser Boresighter. It solves the time consuming problem of sighting in and gives shooters and hunters more time in the field,” she said.

The CenterPoint Hunting and Outdoors Laser Boresighter has an MSRP of $59.50 and is available now. CenterPoint Hunting and Outdoors will exhibit its entire product line during SHOT Show 2011 in Las Vegas from January 18-21. Visit booth number 12740.

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Today’s American warfighter and tactical sniper must cope with the modern battlefield, where engagements can rapidly shift from CQB distance out to one thousand meters. To meet this challenge, Leupold‘s® Tactical Optics Division has introduced the first optic in its new line of Mark 8™ riflescopes with the 1.1-8x24mm CQBSS™.

Designed for combat troops, the Mark 8 CQBSS also makes a superior optic for competitive three-gun shooters and home-defense carbines. Game Face Airsoft Introduces Two Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols And Assault Rifle

ROCHESTER, New York – Game Face™ Airsoft, a division of Crosman® Corporation, worldwide supplier and manufacturer of products for the shooting sports, has expanded their offerings by adding three new products. The new GF460 is a full-scale AEG combat assault rifle. The new Game Face Airsoft pistols, the Elite Combat and the Mayhem™, are CO2 powered blowbacks providing realism for skirmishes and training.

According to Game Face Airsoft Product Manager, Jim Masseth, “The new Game Face Airsoft professional-grade products provide realism during training and close-quarter-combat scenarios. We’re seeing a lot of interest from the military and law enforcement communities who wish to use them for their force-on-force education and training,” he said.

The GF460 features a full-length, quad-rail interface system (RIS) that provides multiple options for accessories such as optics, flashlights or handles. “The polymer frame is strong enough to take the abuse of any skirmish, but lightweight so there’s no worry of fatigue,” said Masseth. The full metal gearbox and high torque motor provide a high rate of fire and velocities up to 330 feet per second (fps) using .20g BBs.

The Elite Combat pistol is as sturdy as the standard U.S. service pistol it resembles. Its full metal slide and frame, generous weight and comfortable grip provide a feeling of authority. This pistol is the ideal sidearm with its realistic recoil action and full-metal magazine. The high capacity magazine features integral CO2 valving and drops out at the push of a button. Simply push in a new magazine, for quick reload of ammo and fresh CO2 that provides delay-free combat action. Featuring an ambidextrous safety and a quick-detach slide for efficient maintenance, the Elite Combat reaches up to 330 fps with .12g BBs. Every time the gun is fired the slide blows back automatically and cocks the working hammer.

The Mayhem pistol offers convincing feel, hold and recoil action with its polymer frame, metal slide and fully functioning blowback operation. Realistic weight adds to the drama of this sidearm. For use in CQC and training exercises, the Mayhem reaches up to 1 joule of energy. It is equipped with a quick- detach slide for convenient maintenance and its easy-to-release full-metal magazine makes for delay-free loading of CO2 and BBs.
